Cookie Policy
Nov 2026
This document states what is stored on your device when you visit Edelon’s sites, for what purpose, for how long and on what legal basis. It forms part of the Privacy Notice and must be read together with it.
Scope
This document applies to the site operated by Edelon Technologies:
- edelontechnologies.com
It does not apply to product environments deployed within the infrastructure of a client institution, which are governed by the agreement entered into with that institution.
What a cookie is and what types exist
A cookie is a text file that a site stores in your browser and that it can read when you return.
By duration. Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or until you or your browser delete them.
By who controls them. First-party cookies are set and controlled by Edelon. Third-party cookies are set and controlled by another company, which is then responsible for the processing of that data, not Edelon.
Equivalent technologies
Alongside cookies, there are other mechanisms that perform similar functions and that this document covers equally:
- Local storage. Stores preferences or data in the browser without automatically sending them to the server with each request.
- Web beacons (pixels or tags). Tiny images embedded in a page or an email that make it possible to know whether it was opened or visited.
What this site actually uses
As of the date of this update, Edelon’s corporate site does not include third-party analytics, web beacons, advertising networks, or profiling or cross-site tracking tools. Nor does it sell or assign browsing data.
The only data that may be stored on your device is data strictly necessary for the site to function: the choice you make in the preference center and, where applicable, the state of a session that you have started.
Because the site is served through an infrastructure provider, that provider may log technical connection data—IP address, user agent and timestamp—for purposes of security, delivery and abuse prevention. That processing is described in the Privacy Notice.
If audience measurement or another technology subject to consent is added in the future, this document will be updated before it is activated, and a mechanism will be made available to give and withdraw consent.
Legal basis
Mexico. The processing of personal data associated with these technologies is governed by the Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares (Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties) and its Reglamento (Regulations), which requires disclosure of the use of these mechanisms and of the means of disabling them.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom. For visitors from these territories, strictly necessary cookies are based on the legitimate interest in providing the requested service, under the GDPR. Any cookie that is not strictly necessary would require prior consent, which is not requested today because none of that nature is used.
How to control them
You can configure your browser to accept, reject or delete cookies, and you can delete those already stored at any time. Instructions for the most common browsers:
Blocking all cookies may prevent some features of the site from working properly.
Retention
Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed. Any persistent cookies that this site may use have a maximum lifetime of twelve months.
Changes
This document will be updated when the technologies used change, or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons, and the date in the heading will reflect the latest revision. A change that broadens the purposes will be published before it is applied.
